The international break has well and truly finished.
The green jerseys are tucked away nicely until 2016 and now the Republic of Ireland players are focusing on club football for the rest of the season, or until March at least.
Shane Long is definitely ready to stop celebrating Ireland’s qualification for Euro 2016 and he joked that he’s ready to “wipe a bit of the smile off” of Jonathan Walters’ face when they meet this weekend.
Walters got the majority of plaudits for his brace that paved the way for Ireland’s trip to France next summer and his Stoke side travel to St. Mary’s on Saturday to face Shane Long’s Southampton.
