St Ledger burst through the defence on a surging run before finding a perfect cross from the byline with just ten minutes remaining in the game.
St Ledger’s ball found the noggin of Kevin Doyle who nodded home for his third MLS goal of the season and gave Colorado the 2-1 win.
St Ledger hasn’t featured under Martin O’Neill since the Derry man took charge of Ireland but the fact that St Ledger is clearly a winger stuck in a centre-back’s body should get O’Neill thinking.
