Depay was supposed to follow in the footsteps of former prodigious PSV talents such as Ruud van Nistelrooy, Arjen Robben and the slightly more rotund Ronaldo.
But it's just not happened for the 21-year-old who will likely be missing the glory days of 2014 when he was one of the most exciting prospects in Europe.
Depay didn't get the chance to say goodbye to his boyhood club when United signed him in the summer so he looked to remedy that this weekend when he travelled to Holland to take a lap around the Philips Stadion.
