Barcelona went top of La Liga on Saturday after recording a 2-0 win over Real Betis thanks to goals from Luis Suarez and Ivan Rakitic.
The result saw Barcelona hit 85 points, putting them level with Atletico Madrid. However, their superior head-to-head record saw them go to pole position, while Real Madrid lie in third on 84 points with two games left to play.
Bara’s Argentine superstar Lionel Messi was in stellar form during Saturday’s victory, producing some jaw-dropping pieces of skill including this amazing overhead, no-look pass in the 11th hour which unfortunately came to nothing.
However, not all of Messi’s efforts during the game were in vain. His sensational through-ball from well outside the box to set-up Luis Suarez’s goal was one of, if not the highlight of the match.
