It will take more than a vicious dog bite to stop Jonny Hayes.
It emerged on Tuesday that the Irishman had been bitten by a dog before he was set to play in Aberdeen’s clash against Celtic the following day.
The winger posted a photo of his arm in a rather menacing looking cast on Twitter which raised doubt over whether or not he would feature in the match.

Despite the nasty bite leaving a 2 cm gash in his hand, Hayes togged out for his side as they defeated Celtic 2-1.
Not only that, but he scored the game’s opener, a sensational effort on the bounce from range.
