It’s official, Arsenal won’t be winning a third FA Cup title in as many seasons after they were sent crashing out of the quarter final stage by Watford.
Watford went 2-0 up thanks to Odion Ighalo and a sensational thunderbastard from Adlen Guedioura, but Danny Welbeck gave the Gunners a glimmer of hope by pulling one back late in the game.
It looked like the English forward was going to grab an equaliser in the 11th hour, but Welbeck somehow managed to miss a glorious opportunity to keep his side in the competition. The 2-1 loss saw Arsenal’s 37-month unbeaten run in the Cup come to an end.
