Odds are more people saw Apres Match’s piss-take of TV3’s coverage of Sweden v Belgium than the coverage itself.
Tommy Martin probably could have dropped his pants and mooned the camera during the half-time analysis of the game and only a handful of Belgians and Swedes would have noticed.
Let’s be honest here, pretty much every household in Ireland with any sort of interest in football was tuning into one match and one match only on Wednesday night – Ireland’s glorious 1-0 win over Italy.
RTE had that game, the one that was drawing all those eyes and ratings and boy did they let their rival station know all about it. The Apres Match boys had a light-hearted pop at TV3 missing out on the big ‘un with their obligatory post-match sketch, which you can check out in the video embedded below.
