Vine: Cisse to serve three match ban for elbow on Seamus Coleman

Donegal man in the wars at St James' Park

This was nasty.

Everton-Newcastle can often prove to be a feisty affair and so it proved on Sunday with plenty of action at St James’ Park.

Seamus Coleman was central to the opening goal after five minutes, crossing for Kone to notch home before Cisse equalised before half time.

However, the Newcastle striker probably shouldn’t have been on the field after what looked like a fairly nasty attempt to smash the Irishman in the face not only once but twice earlier in the game.

The FA officially charged Cisse with violent conduct  and he’s decided not to contest the charge meaning he’ll serve a three match ban starting on Thursday.
