It looked like it was going to be one of those nights for Dortmund

The former Champions League finalists conceded a goal to Mainz last night after just 52 seconds, and it appeared that they would face another torrid night in front of their home fans. However whatever Jurgen Kloop said at half time it worked as his side scored two goals just after the break to take the lead, from the returning Marcio Reus and Neven Subotic.

Reus announced this week that he had signed a new long term deal at the club this week that will keep him at Dortmund until 2019. And he underlined his value to everyone at the Westfalenstadion last night with the most exquisite through ball to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who netted the third goal of the game to restore the lead for the home side.

The result was wrapped up by Liverpool reject Nuri Sahin in the final 10 minutes to help Dortmund to only their second back to back win of the season so far.
