Goalies of the future take note

This is probably article No.591 on what a bloody freak of footballing nature Manuel Neuer is and we make no apologies for it. The German goalkeeper is the best in the world and proved it again tonight with an amazing save from a free-kick against Bayern Munich’s deadliest rivals, Borussia Dortmund.

The World-Cup winner is known for being a bit of a showboater with tackles well outside his area and other crazy stuff that would make most managers lose their hair. Good job Pep Guardiola is already bald then. But behind all that is a world class shot-stopper as he proved again tonight.

Marco Reus must have though he had scored when he managed to whip this free-kick over the Bayern wall and down towards the corner of the net in the 87th minute of tonight’s clash. But Neuer managed to stick out a hand and kill it dead. Not just save it,but actually stop the ball and its momentum. Unreal.

The save meant that Bayern held on for a 1-0 win and edge closer to another German title
