Arsenal Wenger would have a conniption if he caught one of his finely-tuned professional athletes doing this.
Celtic’s Leigh Griffiths was caught out bad during Celtic’s Good Friday clash with St Mirren.
The controversial striker made the subs bench for the Hoops which and found himself a bit famished very early in the match. Griffiths made sure the coast was clear, several times, before producing a small cake from his pocket and eating it on the sly about 10 minutes into the first half.
Unfortunately for Griffiths, the cameras picked up on his little mid-game snacking. It is unknown whether or not his manager noticed but he didn’t feature in the game which could be indicate that he did.
However, Celtic ran out comfortable 2-0 winners on the day, so Griffiths’ services were not really required anyway.
