VINE: Gareth Bale’s strike helped Real Madrid to their 16th win in a row tonight

Right foot belter from Welshman secures points in 2-1 win

Gareth Bale scored a goal with his lesser spotted right foot tonight to help Real Madrid to a 2-1 win over Malaga

The Welshman ran through and rocketed a shot to the net after the deftest of headers from Niall Quinn Ronaldo to secure all three points and open up a five point lead at the top of the table.

Roque Santa Cruz scored late as a consolation for the home side, but Madrid’s success under Carlo Ancelotti means the club have now won 16 games in a row- a feat Jose Mourinho achieved with Madrid in 2011, and Miguel Minoz in 1961.

The games opening goal came from Karim Benzema with Ronaldo once again creator in-chief.

It did have more than a hint of a foul about it though:
