Although Norwich ran out 1-0 victors, it was a game to forget for Northern Ireland striker Kyle Lafferty.
The Enniskillen native was presented with an excellent opportunity to double his side’s lead against Wigan in the Championship yesterday. Lafferty came off the bench in the final quarter of the game and was given the task of set piece duties.
However, the act of taking a free kick was apparently easier said than done for Lafferty, who made an absolute hames of this dead ball. Surely this is a contender for worst free kick of the year.
Luckily for Lafferty, a fifth-minute goal from Jonathan Howson was enough to give Norwich the win over the Latics but not enough to spare his blushes.
