This insane finish came during Empoli’s Coppa Italia clash with Genoa tonight.
Empoli’s Georgian striker, Levan Mchedlidze (try saying that after a few pints), made it 2-0 to the good in the 72nd minute with an outrageous volley. Mchedlidze somehow managed to get on the end of a cross that seemed destined to miss him completely.
The striker finished the move off with panache, drilling the ball into the Genoa net with an incredible, standing scorpion kick volley.
