They say you should never meet your heroes – unless your hero is Robbie Keane.
It was a dream come true for Brazil man Pelé on Monday who finally got to embrace his Irish idol.
Pelé, a former footballer from the south-west of Brazil, came face-to-face with Robbie Keane for the first time and he almost had to be contained.
Faced with a legend of English football, one who has banged goals in up in Scotland, played in Italy and lit America up, the Brazilian was in his element talking shop with an iconic goalscorer.
He even had the cheek to show Keane how to do bicycle kicks, the little rascal.
67 international goals before him and Pelé didn’t shrink. He did look as excited as we all get in Keano’s presence though.
Robbie Keane posted the meeting on his Instagram account with the caption: “The moment you meet the greatest player of all time.”
Only Pelé can tell us how it felt.
