Video: Paul Pogba’s ‘elastico’ last night was all kinds of stunning

Shame about the finish mind

To pull this move off at such speed is impressive…

As is tradition on January 6, we were treated to a whole host of Serie A games yesterday, perfect if you needed a break from the seemingly interminable FA Cup Third Round. Pick of the bunch was the evening game between champions Juventus and struggling Inter Milan.

In the end the game finished 1-1, which will probably be a bit disappointing for Juve as Roma’s win at Udinese means they are just one point clear of Francesco Totti’s team at the top of the table.

Carlos Tevez scored for the champions early on but Paul Pogba almost scored a wondergoal which would surely have killed the game. Facing three Inter defenders, the French midfielder pulled off a stunning high-speed ‘elastico’ to zip past them and open up a fine goalscoring opportunity.

In the end, Pogba went for the nutmeg and it was blocked by Handanovic but how he manufactured the chance was sublime.
