Dortmund owe a great deal to Mats Hummels for getting a result against Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend
A string of poor performances this season have left Dortmund floundering at a dismal 18th in the Bundesliga. This comes after their stellar form last year saw them finish up second overall.
However, there is one man in the Dortmund team who certainly can’t be blamed for their disappointing drop in form this year. We are of course talking about the rock in the heart of their defence, Mats Hummels.
The centre-back was pivotal in his side battling their way to earn a point against sixth-placed Leverkusen. Check out the defensive maestro pulling off a spectacular last ditch, off the line save using his head. Simply incredible.
