Mateo Kovacic's stock just went up over the weekend.

The Inter Milan midfielder fired home a beauty to send Croatia 2-0 up in their international friendly against minnows Gibraltar on Sunday afternoon. Kovacic, who's been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool, produced a stunning improvised effort to lob the keeper from close range. With the ball dropping slightly behind him and the goalkeeper bearing down, the 21-year-old utilised the flying backheel technique to send the ball sailing into the net. What makes it even better is that it was the youngster's first goal for his country.
