Irish players in the MLS will soon be able to almost charter their own plane home at the rate of players joining the ranks of exiles across the Atlantic.
The latest man who looks set for a move Stateside is James McClean, who has been spotted doing some weigh training in Derry while wearing what suspiciously looks like matching top and bottoms with the New York Red Bulls crest on them.
It’s been reported this week that the Derry man is in New York to complete a summer move to the East coast franchise, and now footage has emerged of him working out in in a Seamus Fox gym in his native city wearing some new looking threads

According to local newspapers today is the deadline that MLS sides can make a major transfer until July 8th, so if any deal for McClean is to go through it would have to be announced very very shortly.
He had been previously linked with moves to Orlando City SC and Orlando Rapids but it now seems almost certain he’ll be playing in New York next season.
