Euro 2016 may still be raging, but that hasn’t stopped Premier League teams from dipping into the transfer market.

This week’s big transfer dealing has seen Spurs sign Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama from Southampton.

The long-rumoured transfer will see Wanyama reunite up with former manager Mauricio Pochettino, with whom he worked alongside at St. Mary’s.

The move sees Spurs strengthen their midfield options as they head into Champions League football for the 2016/17 season. With Tottenham’s midfield left exposed following their 5-1 defeat against Newcastle on the final day of the season, many Spurs fans have voiced their approval of the signing.

While others joked about the inevitability of the signing.

Then of course came the Will Grigg remixes…

Announcing a big signing the day your biggest rivals have just been snubbed the transfer market? Cheeky stuff from Spurs.

Here’s hoping catering at White Hart Lane have their Italian choices sorted.
