No escape for Balotelli to Napoli as Arsenal look to Polish midfielder

Mario Balotelli won’t be swapping Merseyside for Napoli anytime soon if their manager is to be believed.

Rafa Benitez has dismissed suggestions the misfiring Reds striker could be on his back to Serie A.

Benitez rubbished the idea by telling the Liverpool Echo it’s a ‘hypothesis that I have never considered”. (Liverpool Echo)

Xherdan Shaqiri could be heading for the exit door at Bayern Munich and there are several Premier League clubs interested.

The Swiss midfielder, who impressed during the World Cup is being linked to Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham with Munich prepared to let him go in January for a cut-price fee.

Shaquiri is well down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola and was heavily linked with a move to England even before the World Cup. (Daily Star)

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is desperately trying to bolster his fragile midfield with constant injuries to men of glass such as Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshire.

It’s believed that the Londoners are interested in Poland’s Grzegorz Krychowiak who’s currently playing for Sevilla.

He will cost almost 40 million euro but there is European competition for his signature.

Struggling Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan are also interested in the versatile player. (Daily Express)

Andros Townsend or Harry Kane could be used as makeweights in a deal between Southampton  and Tottenham for Jay Rodriguez.

The Londoners have been fairly goal shy so far this season and with pressure increasing on Mauricio Pochettino,the White Hart Lane outfit feel that the England international could be the man to solve their problems.

Townsend is understood to have been a target of  Ronald Koeman in the summer while Harry Kane has been the best striker Spurs have had in recent weeks.(Daily Mail)
