Trent Alexander-Arnold

Trent Alexander-Arnold impressed on Saturday, but he dropped jaws for Liverpool on Tuesday.

18-year-old Trent Alexander-Arnold was one of the bright sparks in Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Watford at Vicarage Road in their Premier League 2017/18 opener.

Although the Reds’ defence received more than its fair share of criticism for conceding a hat-trick of goals, youngster Alexander-Arnold received almost universal praise for his performance.

After impressing everyone at the weekend, the England u-19 international was handed the opportunity to start for Liverpool’s Champions League play-off against Hoffenheim on Tuesday evening.

Fortunately for the Reds, he continued his fine form in the first half, breaking the deadlock with a wondrous strike.

The hot prospect stepped up to take the free-kick from 30 yards out and absolutely walloped it into the back of the net to score his very first goal in Europe for the Reds and hand them a crucial away goal heading into the second leg.
