This ‘tackle’ from Norway might be the worst challenge we’ve seen all season

Disgusting

If you thought some of Eric Dier’s tackling against Chelsea was bad, you’ve got another thing coming.

Norway’s fifth division is not necessarily known for producing top-level football, but there’s absolutely no place for the sort of challenge produced by AFSK’s Ayoub Blomberg.

Playing against Aurskog-Høland FK, Blomberg produced what Norwegian journalist Espen Bråthen has described as ‘one of the ugliest I’ve seen on the football field’.

After losing the ball, the player jumped into a two-footed challenge which left opponent Marius Kolstad writhing in agony and sparked a brawl between players of the rival clubs.

Kolstad is thought to have suffered a serious knee injury as a result of the challenge, and Blomberg is expected to receive a lengthy ban for his actions.
