Video: This is certainly the most ‘intimate’ goal celebration we’ve seen this season

We guarantee this is the strangest, most suggestive celebration you'll see today

Gareth Makim

Can someone please tell us what on earth this is all about?

In the macho world of professional sports, rare moments of intimacy are reserved for moments of celebration.

A pat on the head, a warm embrace, even a kiss are common sights following goals, saves or match-winning blocks.

Roma appear to have taken things to a new level, though. After Jose Holebas scored this quite brilliant solo goal in the Giallorossi’s 4-2 victory over Inter yesterday, he was predictably mobbed by his team-mates.

The standard pile-on wasn’t enough for some, though, with a couple going in for some ‘extra-curriculars’ – one reaches between Holebas’ legs before another suggestively gestures towards his backside.

He then walks back to the Roma half with a face that screams ‘Wait, did that just happen?’

We’re afraid so, Jose.
