The internet loved the insanely entertaining first half of Liverpool v Arsenal

Four goals in 15 minutes

And breathe.

24 hours after Newcastle and Manchester United put on one of the games of the season, Liverpool and Arsenal took to the Anfield pitch with a similarly scant concern for defence.

Both sides attacked at will for a tremendous 45 minutes with a 2-2 scoreline shared at half-time.

Liverpool started stronger, dominating in possession and were rewarded in the 10th minute when Roberto Firmino beat Petr Cech before the equaliser came four minutes later via Aaron Ramsey.

The goal of the game came when Firmino got his second with a perfectly-placed long range strike but parity was restored on the 25 minute mark via the deft touch of Olivier Giroud.

And the internet only bloody loved it.
