Chelsea champions, Brentford on a European tour, mid-table for the North London clubs, 17 draws at home? We’re in for absolute madness if half of this comes true
The Premier League is often described as unpredictable. Anyone can beat anyone on their day and that’s the beauty of it.
You never know who will finish where – except Norwich, they will finish in the bottom three – but fear not, as you don’t need to predict.
The people at Football Web Pages have made a supercomputer which has helped give an insight into how the table will apparently look come the end of the season.
Brace yourself, though, there’s certainly some strange results here.

Where to start, then? We should probably go from top to bottom and it looks like Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea will be finishing top of the table in emphatic fashion.
Finishing 10 points clear of their closest challengers Liverpool, the London Blues romp home, losing just one game all season.
They’ve already lost that game in real time, so it is estimated they won’t lose another game this season. So close to that 100-point mark as well, but regardless, an exceptional campaign.
Second and third seem respectable, but don’t scratch your eyes at who is in fourth place. Yes, Brentford.
What a debut Premier League season for them. Champions League football at the first attempt so get your passports renewed if you’re supporter of the Bees.
Brentford’s top-four spot also comes at the expense of Manchester United who will have to settle for a Europa League spot, which would surely spell the end for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reign at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile from seventh to 11th you wouldn’t be too surprised. Maybe Brighton and Hove Albion in eighth would be a shock, but Graham Potter has got them playing some excellent stuff so don’t rule it out entirely.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal both continue their respective ‘banter eras’ in fine fashion by recording bottom half finishes, although Spurs do finish one place above in 12th – so they get to take home the ‘we finished higher than you’ trophy for the year.
14th to 17th looks realistic as well, with money-bags Newcastle just hanging on for a place in the top-flight ahead of their title push for the 2021-22 season, whilst Marcelo Bielsa’s free-flowing Leeds and Patrick Viera’s Crystal Palace will endure tough times on the road – failing to win a single game away from home.
Then, the unlucky three.
Burnley, Southampton and Norwich fans, I’m afraid to say you should all be getting your roadmaps out for trips to Oakwell and the City Ground next season as the computer has predicted you to go down.
The most baffling thing of all is that according to this, Southampton won’t win a game all season, yet they won’t even finish bottom. Which begs the question – how s**t are Norwich?
Also, 17 draws at home. I mean, that’s just mental. I feel sorry for you Saints fans if that’s what you’re destined for.
And there we have it, the supposed final Premier League 2021-22 season table.
If even half of this happens, we’re in for one amazing season.
