Stunned Liverpool fans rage as Alex Teixeira agrees move to Chinese club

Ah well, there’s goes another player from Liverpool’s grasp.

The Chinese global domination of the transfer market since the beginning of 2016 shows so no sign of stopping as it’s been confirmed they have swooped for one of world football’s hottest properties.

Alex Teixeira was linked with Liverpool for the entire month of January, with the Reds unable to meet Shakhtar Donetsk’s valuation of the 26-year-old Brazilian.

Liverpool could not meet the Ukrainian outfit’s price tag close to €50 million, but tonight it’s been confirmed that a Chinese club has.

The fee agreed by Jiangsu Suning is around £38million, which is about 8 million more than what Liverpool were willing to pay last month.

The forward had indicated he would only move to the Premier League, but considering Chinese clubs have already splashed serious cash on Ramires and Jackson Martinez in the last two weeks, it’s no surprise that a club in the far east has snapped up the player.
