Far from cheap

If Ian Ayre was hoping to save a few bob on signing Inaki Williams, then he won’t be a happy man.

The Athletic Club winger has been burning up the touchline, and bursting some nets in the last few months for the La Liga side.

Liverpool and Arsenal were rumored to be looking into signing the young forward this January, or at least putting in place a deal around €20million for the Spain U21 international.

But his club today have scuppered any chance of as cut-price move being organised  by any Premier League sides after his club announced he had penned a new deal, with the buy out clause for the striker now growing to a staggering €50million.

Williams, who plays for his  hometown team, is the youngest player from any of Europe’s top five leagues to score 10 goals this season.
