Some pacy players fail to make Premier League’s top 10 quickest this season

Speed kills

Leicester are completely dominating the speed charts in the 2015/16 Premier League season.

The Telegraph have used data from EA SPORTS Player Performance Index, to compile a list of the 10 players to have reached the fastest top speeds in this season’s Premier League.

However, renowned speed demons such as Theo Walcott and Hector Bellerin have failed to make the cut. In fact, not one Arsenal player (or Manchester United player for that matter) has made the top 10.

Other pacy players who you might have expected to sneak into the list, such as Raheem Sterling or even Aaron Lennon are also nowhere to be found.

Check out the list in full below.

10. Cameron Jerome – 34.97km/h

Norwich City striker is a surprise inclusion. Usually known for his physicality rather than his speed.

9. Joshua King – 34.99km/h

No goals so far for the Bournemouth man, but he has troubled defences with his pace.

8. Victor Moses – 35km/h

No real surprise here.

7. Marc Albrighton – 35km/h

One of three fleet-footed Leicester City players to creep in.

6. Jesus Navas – 35.06km/h

Lightning.

5. Billy Jones – 35.07km/h

Billy Whizz.

4. Kyle Walker – 35.09km/h

Spurs’ own Forrest Gump.

Tottenham Hotspur v Everton - Premier League

3. Divock Origi – 35.15km/h

He can’t finish, but by God can he run.

2. Jeffrey Schlupp – 35.26km/h

The second Leicester City which can only mean…

1. Jamie Vardy – 35.44km/h

Yep, the Premier League’s current top scorer has also reached the highest speed.
