Slaven Bilic's punditry is refreshingly forthright.
He says it how he sees it. There is no dressing it up, no verbal diarrhea. He speaks his mind and that's good: as a guitar-playing football manager fluent in at least four languages, Bilic's mind is an interesting place.
On Sunday night, the Croatian was handed the perfect opportunity to express his views about VAR – and he didn't disappoint.
Following Brazil's 1-1 draw with Switzerland, the ITV panel discussed whether Switzerland's equaliser, scored by Steven Zuber, should have stood after the striker appeared to shove one Miranda before heading home.
Ian Wright and Gary Neville both said it could have easily been ruled out via VAR. Presenter Mark Pougatch then came to Bilic.
"It's one of them if I was Brazil manager I would ask for the foul but if I was Switzerland manager I would say no foul.
"To be fair, I don't care," the former West Ham manager admitted pointedly.
The ITV studio erupted with laughter, with Wright almost ripping out of his brave green shirt with all the bellyaches.
"Why should I? I would rather talk about Coutinho's goal," he added amid the howls of laughter around him.
Even Roy Keane couldn't help but crack a smile. It was a nice reprieve from the tension the previous night.
