Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp pays tribute to WWE legend Mick Foley

Jack O'Toole

Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp rescued a point for his side after scoring two equalisers in the Blades’ 2-2 draw with Norwich City on Saturday.

Sharp canceled out Onel Hernandez opener and then Teemu Pukki’s second goal to send the game back to Bramall Lane but the 32-year-old also found time to pay tribute to WWE legend Mick Foley with his famous Mr. Socko finishing move, a specialty of his character Mankind.

Sharp has enjoyed a fine season for Sheffield and manager Chris Wilder said that he’s been a huge figure at the club and is deserving of a contract extension with his boyhood club.

“He’s been fantastic,” Wilder told The Star. “He’s loyal, he’s committed to the football club and it goes without saying he’s a hugely important figure in the dressing room.”
