Sergio Aguero will try to convince Lionel Messi to move to the Premier League

Come on, Leo

Oh, Sergio, are there no bounds to your greatness?

Just when we thought we couldn’t love Aguero any more, he has now vowed to try persuade the one and only Lionel Messi to move to England and ply his trade in the Premier League.

The Manchester City hotshot was honoured this week as the Football Supporters’ Federation Player of the Year for form that seems to know no other route but an upward trajectory.

And the Argentine admitted that he would love to see his compatriot Messi in the Premier League as much as you or I would.

“It’s a tough ask, I’ll try and convince him,” he said.  “You want the best players playing in the Premier League.  I’ll certainly try and convince him.”

The statement comes in light of Messi dropping his biggest hint yet that he could be looking for a move away from Barcelona.  The four-time Ballon d’Or winner has never strayed from the Catalan club and never looked like it but, maybe with Aguero now on his case, he could be convinced.

After all, is there anything Sergio Aguero can’t do?
