Scott Brown doing Scott Brown things

Celtic extended their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership to eight points on Sunday afternoon thanks to a late, late winner from captain Scott Brown.

As Dedryck Boyata knocked down Callum McGregor’s corner, Brown unleashed a powerful shot than ended up in the Kilmarnock net after pinballing around.

As you’d expect, chaos ensued in the away end. There were limbs flying around. There were scenes. There were limbs and scenes.

Many limbs in fact spilled over past the barrier that was meant to separate fans from the pitch. Brown, in the heat of the moment, celebrated his late goal by embracing his adoring fans.

This celebrating earned Brown his second yellow card of the game, having already been cautioned for a slide tackle on Killie left-back Greg Taylor.

When the scenes had calmed down, Brown was given his marching orders for jumping into the crowd.

It brought a joyous last minute to a bittersweet end, but Brown won’t be too fussed; Celtic got three points, and they’re top of the league.
