RTÉ step up as News Now channel to show extra game on hurling’s weekend of the year

SportsJOE

There’s wall-to-wall GAA this weekend.

The RTÉ News Now channel will show Clare-Tipperary at 4.00 meaning that this Sunday, there will be four hurling championship games live, either on terrestrial tv or on GAAGO.

Sunday is a huge day in the provincial hurling championships with the last round of the group stages taking place.

The Leinster matches throw-in at 2.00 with Galway-Dublin live on RTÉ while Wexford Dublin will be shown on GAAGO. Antrim-Carlow is another important game with the winner staving off relegation but it will not be broadcast.

The Munster games take place at 4.00 with the huge Limerick-Waterford clash to be shown live on The Sunday Game, while Tipperary-Clare is on the News Now channel. Limerick-Waterford is arguably the game of the weekend with the distinct possibility of the All-Ireland champions being knocked out should they lose the game.

Meanwhile on Saturday, there will be two All-Ireland football championship group stage games on GAAGO, with Donegal-Tyrone preceded by Dublin-Roscommon. There will also be a whole host of minor games live on TG4, with the Leinster final between Dublin and Kilkenny shown on television.
