Robbie Brady snaps up three FAI international soccer award nominations

He faces stiff competition though

There’s going to be a new Irish international footballer of the year.

The Three FAI International Awards ceremony takes place on Sunday at and the full list of those nominees have been released.

Three players compete for the most prestigious prize, senior international footballer of the year. Robbie Brady, Wes Hoolahan and Jon Walters have been nominated, all of whom have never won the award before.

Brady is also up for Young International Player of the Year, alongside Cyrus Christie and Jeff Hendrick, and his effort against Bosnia Herzegovina in the first leg of the Euro 2016 playoff has been nominated for goal of the year.
