Reports: Didier Drogba has been offered another Chelsea return

Didier Drogba could make another return to Chelsea as the club looks to salvage their season.

The Ivorian striker played 40 games for the club last season in his second stint at Stamford Bridge, before scoring 12 goals in as many games for MLS outfit Montreal Impact.

And now he could be tempted back under Guus Hiddink, albeit not in a playing role.

Chelsea v Sunderland - Premier League

Hiddink led a Drogba-inspired Chelsea to the semi-finals of the 2008/09 Champions League only to suffer a heartbreaking late defeat to Barcelona.

The pair were spotted together at Chelsea’s last Premier League game, a 3-1 win over Sunderland.

And representative Thierno Seydi has admitted Drogba has begun talks over an unspecified backroom post.

Much will depend on whether the 37-year-old wants to continue playing, but a return to a club for whom he played more than 250 Premier League games could be too much to turn down.
