It is being reported that the two ‘squared up’ on the way to the dressing rooms after the Capital One Cup tie between Liverpool and Chelsea on Tuesday night.
There are certain footballers you don’t want to mess with. And we don’t mean the more vicious tacklers like Lee Cattermole either. We mean the sort of lads who look like they are just playing football while they relax from a covert mission as an assassin. Lads like Nemanja Matic, Steven N’Zonzi and Diego Costa just carry themselves on the field in a way that suggests you simply should never ever cross them, or else.
It seems Jordan Henderson has bigger balls than we knew as the Liverpool midfielder is reported to have ‘squared up’ to one of those men, Costa, after Liverpool and Chelsea’s Capital One Cup semi-final first leg on Tuesday.
The two had a few run ins during the match and according to the Mail, the pair had to be separated by one of Liverpool’s back room team in the Anfield tunnel. The level of the ‘bust-up’ seems to be harmless enough, with no punches thrown, but the Spaniard and the English man did exchange pushes in what is called a ‘furious argument’.
We can’t wait for the second leg now. It seems there may be even more to look out for now than the ‘Hendo Hop’.
