Report: Bastian Schweinsteiger’s time at Manchester United may soon be over

On the move

Bastian Schweinsteiger’s Manchester United career may soon be over.

It could be argued it never really got started, as the German captain endured a patchy, at best, campaign last season, making just 18 Premier League appearances and missing the FA Cup final through injury.

Schweinsteiger is currently on international duty ahead of Euro 2016, but he could soon be on the look out for a new club, according to The Mirror.

The 31 year old midfielder recently gave his backing to new United manager Jose Mourinho, but the feeling reportedly isn’t mutual, and Mourinho will jettison the midfielder at the first available opportunity.

Schweinsteiger, who turns 32 in August, hasn’t played since April, after suffering a knee injury, but is hopeful of featuring in Germany’s opening game of the European Championships against Ukraine on June 12th.Click snap
