Real Madrid issue a final ultimatum to Old Trafford over David de Gea

He's heading to Spain one way or another

Fergie wouldn’t stand for this

David de Gea looked a pretty glum figure on the opening day of the season as he warmed his rear-end on the comfy seats at Old Trafford alongside Victor Valdes.

The Spaniard is seemingly still no closer to leaving Manchester United and joining Real Madrid, as the English side hold out for closer to €35million than the reported €25million they have so far been offered.

And now it seems that the patience of the La Liga side has been tested just once too often, as reports today suggest that they have issued an ultimatum to Louis van Gaal and the chiefs at Old Trafford.

According to the website ABC.es, Madrid are not going to budge on their valuation, and if United refuse to sell this year, the club will secure de Gea’s services for nothing next summer.

De Gea didn’t  feature for United on Saturday in the win over Tottenham because LvG said that he was not ‘focused’ enough for the Red Devils.

However newspaper reports today suggest that the former Atletico netminder was unhappy with the comments that he is not being professional during the drawn out saga and was ready to play.
