Sterling wants out of Anfield

It seems like Raheem Sterling may be leaving Liverpool.

The England international spoke told Brendan Rodgers before the draw against Chelsea last weekend that he wanted to leave the club this summer.

The club are set to hold crunch talks with Sterling this week over his future, after his apparent chat with Rodgers.

Despite expressing his desire to leave, the 20-year-old has agreed to further discussions with club officials in the next few days as they try to tempt him to remain at Anfield.

Sterling still has two years left on his current contract and has already turned down a five-year deal worth £90,000 a week earlier this year.

He cited his disappointed at missing out on Champions League football next season as the main reason for not extending his current deal.

He also revealed being unhappy at the club’s decision to release details of its contract offer, which led to a torrent of abuse from fans.
