PSG defender Serge Aurier arrested following altercation with Parisian police

Serge Aurier has been having a 2016 to forget.

Aurier was arrested in Paris after an argument with Police, according to several French media outlets. The French defender allegedly insulted police officers outside a nightclub and was subsequently placed into custody on Monday morning.

Le Parisien reported that Aurier was out near the Champs-Élysées with a group of friends when the altercation happened.

PSG officials said the club will wait until receiving further information before commenting on the incident.

The Paris-Saint Germain defender was suspended by Laurent Blanc in February after he launched a bizarre attack against the coach and his then-teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic on social media.

Aurier, who had been a regular for PSG up until that point, initially denied the video before eventually owning up to it and apologising in a video on PSG TV.
