Did anyone spot Michael Carrick and Phil Jones at Anfield?

Despite both players being ruled out of Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Liverpool both players showed up to the game… as spectators.

It is understood that Carrick missed the match because of a calf problem, while an ankle injury forced Jones out of action.

However, they clearly didn’t want to miss out on the atmosphere of the highly-anticipated fixture and were seen watching the game from the stands among the away support in Anfield. Carrick even posed for a selfie with a fan.

Meanwhile, poor Jones seemed to already know that he was in for a less than exciting first half as he looked as if he was on the verge of becoming comatose before kick-off.

However, Jones suddenly jolted back into consciousness when Wayne Rooney smashed home a goal to give Manchester United the lead in the second half.
