You mean we didn't beat Romania in Genoa in 1990 and David O'Leary did not score one of the most famous penalty kicks of all time.

Why we could have sworn that we did indeed get to the Q-Finals of the World Cup in Italy in 1990 and also made the last 16 in 1994.

We may not have much but we definitely know what we did under the stewardship of Jack Charlton over 20 years ago.

Perhaps sometimes needs to tell Sky as they flashed up this info-graphic ahead of today's World Cup qualifying draw
