PIC: Marco Reus’ teammates support the injured player with monkey emoji Instagram post

Dortmund players seem like a sound bunch of fellas

Marco Reus has his teammates’ backing regardless of his insistence on celebrating his goals by mimicking monkey emojis.

The German international suffered a serious ankle injury in Borussia Dortmund’s game against Paderborn on Saturday and has been ruled out of action for a number of months which would leave anyone down in the dumps.

But the 25-year-old is clearly a popular lad as his teammates Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Kevin Grosskreutz and Shinji Kagawa  joined each other in a supporting snap to offer encouragement to their injured talisman.

They did this by doing their best imitation of the monkey emojis that Reus had been using in his goal celebrations.

The trio captioned the image with: ““Marco is always with us”.

Reus didn’t let the gesture go without showing his gratitude. He replied to the image with: “One team”.
