The Barca keeper might have received all the plaudits for saving Aguero’s penalty but maybe he had a little help.
A brilliant picture was taken just before Sergio Aguero took his spot-kick at the Camp Nou against Barcelona on Wednesday night.
Javier Mascherano is seen standing just behind him and it appears like he’s predicting which way his fellow countryman is going to shoot.
The ex-Liverpool man was spotted signalling to Marc-Andre ter Stegen between the Barca sticks which direction the ball was heading and it turned out to be 100% correct.
Aguero aimed his effort to the bottom left corner and Ter Stegen, possibly influenced by Mascherano’s gesticulation, went the right way to make the save.
