Paul Pogba is absolutely crushing it in France training

This finishing is outrageous

Maybe Paul Pogba can fill that No. 9 void if Manchester United fail to bring in Alvaro Morata, Romelu Lukaku or Andrea Belotti.

Well, probably not, to be fair. But the midfielder proved that he’s a more than capable finisher while on international duty with France.

Ahead of Friday night’s World Cup Qualifier against Sweden, Pogba showed that his goalscoring boots are well and truly laced up as he put on a masterclass of first-time finishing.

The 24-year-old set up shop on the edge of the box in training on Thursday morning and proved just how deadly he is in front of goal.

After heading the first cross beyond the goalkeeper, Pogba then sumptuously volleyed home three crackers in a row.

Pogba’s first season since returning to Old Trafford has been up and down and, although he has looked nothing short of brilliant at stages, he has yet to fully justify the £89 million that the Red Devils splashed out to recoup his services last summer.

“My first season back here in Manchester was good, but quite complicated,” Pogba told Sky Germany. “I had to adapt to the English football. I didn’t really have a preseason so I had to jump straight in.

“But the more I trained the better it got. With the other players, I felt at ease from the first moment on.

“It’s true that the results weren’t as positive as we had wished, but we reached our goals. All in all, it was a good season for us.”
