New book claims a teenage Mario Balotelli pulled a disgusting prank on teammates

Not cool, Mario

Robert Redmond

Mario Balotelli already has a reputation as a prankster.

The Liverpool ‘striker’ once showed up to a TV appearance in Italy in a AC Milan shirt… when he was an Inter Milan player.

He threw a dart at Manchester City youth team players and set off fireworks in the bathroom of his Manchester mansion.

A new book, released this week called: The Remarkable Story Behind the Sensational Headlines, by Italian writer Luca Caioli, reveals Balotelli was, unsurprisingly, also fond of pranks during his teenage years.

While at Lumezzane, Balotelli would reportedly hide teammate’s jackets, throw away their football boots and urinate on them.

Yes, Mario apparently urinated on his teammates for a prank.Liverpool v Blackburn Rovers - FA Cup Quarter FinalAccording to former teammate Marco Pedretti, the 24 year old: “liked to mess about like he does now, but he was a child back then. He was constantly a real pain in the neck and would pull pranks all the time. Bad ones, sometimes.”

“It’s true that he would pee on our bags containing our clean clothes and he would pee on people too.”

Not cool Mario, not cool.

There’s being a lot of outlandish stories attributed to Balotelli, many of which he tried to debunk when speaking to former Oasis musician Noel Gallagher a few years ago.

We hope this one also proves to be untrue.
