Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has discovered his punishment after being charged by the Football Association over anti-doping offences, as reported first by the journalist Ben Jacobs.
The Ukrainian forward last played for the Blues in 2024, just a year after he had joined the London club from Shakhtar Donetsk in a £89 million deal.
Around the time of December 2024, Mudryk's time on the pitch came to a pause when he was provisionally suspended by the FA for an a "adverse finding in a routine urine test," as indictated here in a TalkSPORT report.
This was followed by a formal charge from the FA in June of 2025.
At the time of the charge, the governing body said: "We can confirm that Mykhailo Mudryk has been charged with Anti-Doping Rule Violations alleging the presence and/or use of a prohibited substance, in terms of Regulations 3 and 4 of The FA's Anti-Doping Regulations.
"As this is an ongoing case, we are not in a position to comment further at this time."

According to Jacobs, Mudryk has been banned for a total period of four years, the maximum possible for the offence.
Mudryk is also said to have appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) over the decision.
Per Jacobs, the Ukrainian is now appealing against the "imposed period of ineligibility of four years" adding that the parties are "currently exchanging written submissions, and a hearing is yet to be scheduled."
Mudryk has always denied any wrongdoing.
In total, Mudryk has played 73 times for the Blues and has scored 10 goals.
