Martin O’Neill names starting Ireland team to face Austria and it is exciting

Last bit of international action until March and Ireland are going for it.

Both Harry Arter and Wes Hoolahan start. Martin O'Neill and his men take on Austria in their World Cup qualifying fixture in Vienna at 5pm and the team has just been announced. Group D is looking tighter and tighter by the round and the Republic have their third away fixture in four games coming up. Injury to Shane Long, James McCarthy, and Stephen Ward has forced the manager into a number of changes but the 11 picked to represent the country in Austria isn't half bad. Arter is in for his first competitive appearance and it looks like a midfield diamond with Whelan, Arter, Hendrick, and Hoolahan.
