Marc Wilson may have just written himself into Mark Hughes' bad books
It sounds like Marc Wilson is yearning for the days of Tony Pulis at the Britannia.
Pulis was renowned for prioritising a solid defence above all else and current Stoke City boss Mark Hughes does not follow the same footballing philosophy as his predecessor.
And Republic of Ireland international Wilson believes that Hughes is neglecting that part of the game.
In an uncharacteristic outburst on Friday night, Wilson publicly criticised the lack of defensive training under Hughes and it is very likely that he will find himself in his manager's bad books for doing so.
One would have expected Wilson to delete the tweet as soon as he noticed the traction it was getting but he actually defended his stance and retweeted supporters warning him that Hughes would not be happy about being ridiculed publicly.
Sometimes, footballers could do with simply keeping quiet.
